A Light Roast version of a traditional Wenshan Baozhong (aka Pouchong). Light roasting mellows the floral flavour resulting in a beautiful toasty first impression and a floral lingering aftertaste that slowly overtakes the palate. The toasty but fresh aroma stays in the nose for a long after finishing the cup.
This tea is matured for a few years to smoothen out the green taste and effect of the tea, and as a result it is no longer as cooling and energizing as a young Baozhong. This tea can be successfully paired with a variety of light desserts or enjoyed on it's own.
Origin: Pinglin, Wenshan, Taiwan
Picking: Buds and two closest leaves
Flavour: toasty warm at first but soon to be overtaken by a lively floral undertone. Interesting and complex tea with a wide spectrum of aromas.
|Teaware||Porcelain Gaiwan or a medium density Yixing Pot will bring out the best flavour|
