This Red / Black tea is made of an Oolong cultivar Da Yeh. A very unusual tea hailing from Taiwan. The crispness of black tea is complemented by the complexity and depth of an oolong tea. Similar to Oriental Beauty oolong, the leaves are bitten by an insect causing uneven oxidation and changes in the chemical composition of the leaves. This results in a strong fragrance and sweet and fruity flavour.
